Ballingdon is a community of about 400 homes in Sudbury, but was a village in its own right until the 1800’s.

Ballingdon started life in Essex, but changes to borders moved it across into Suffolk, where it has stayed ever since! Even though it’s a Sudbury suburb it has retained its own sense of identity, and still feels a little separate from the rest of the town.

We’re not Sudbury, we’re Ballingdon, actually!
