Ballingdon Fete

Was held on

9 September 2018

The Ballingdon Fete committee members are delighted to announce that £2,000 was donated to the Eden Rose Coppice. A HUGE thank you to all of you who sponsored, supported, helped and came and had fun at our fete....without you it wouldn't have been the brilliant day it turned out to be!

We had a fete!

There was lots to do including face painting, ice cream, Indian Cuisine, bbq, Sheep throwing contest, Bar, lots of craft stalls & much more.

There was something for everybody and families came and had a great day.

Welephant was there!

The crew from Sudbury Fire Station brought him along to meet the children, and adults!

Ballingdon is a community of about 400 homes in Sudbury, but was a village in its own right until the 1800’s.

Ballingdon started life in Essex, but changes to borders moved it across into Suffolk, where it has stayed ever since! Even though it’s a Sudbury suburb it has retained its own sense of identity, and still feels a little separate from the rest of the town.

We’re not Sudbury, we’re Ballingdon, actually!

The worthy cause for 2018.
